At Armour Shield Insulation we know that there are many questions that come up while researching and throughout the process of having your home sprayed with spray foam insulation. To help you get the quickest answer, we have listed some of the most popular questions we receive from our clients. If you cannot find an answer to your question, please contact us using the form below and we will be happy to answer any and all questions you may have.
What is Sprayed Polyurethane Foam Insulation?
Quite simply, it is insulation plus sealant. As a rigid cellular plastic with over 95% closed-cell content, spray polyurethane foam insulation acts as insulation, an air barrier and, in some cases, also a vapour barrier. Spray polyurethane foam insulation will also cut energy costs and improve comfort levels in any building.
Is your spray foam waterproof and rodent proof?
We ONLY spray two-pound closed-cell foam, which is waterproof and rodent proof! Two-pound closed-cell foam is high-density, heavy and strong, and therefore more apt to resist air or water vapour leakage, which also restricts rodents and vermin from gaining access to the home or building.
